This is a good too for labor during contractions. If we are consciously breathing, our blood pressure and heart rate is regulated keeping us in parasympathetic/relaxation mode. Calm mama equals calm baby.
Prenatal Yoga can be great for Pregnancy however always check with your doctor or midwife before starting a new activity such as Prenatal yoga to insure that they acitivty is appororiate for you.

Just wanted to let you know how much I enjoyed coming to your night pre-natal yoga class. I'd never done yoga before and have and now will continue to reap its benefits! I gave birth to our first baby boy, Zachary Jordan Wong, last Friday 20th of October. He arrived at 37 weeks and 5 days, weighing in at 7.7 pounds. It was a long labour at 18.5 hours, but what I never thought I would be able to do was use nothing other than a tens machine for my pain relief throughout it!! That and what I remembered from our classes, especially the mindfulness and breathing techniques. I hope to get back into yoga once we've all settled in. Hope your new classes are going well.
